Avye Alexandres is a photographer and videographer specializing in conceptual, editorial, portrait, and documentary shoots. Her photojournalistic work follows politically motivated actions, and her personal works investigate place and inhabitation. Background
A graduate of the MFA program in Art and Emerging Practices at the University at Buffalo, she has exhibited nationally and received several awards and fellowships, including the 2016 Oseroff Memorial Photography Purchase Prize from CEPA Gallery and the Roswell Park Cancer Institute / Roswell Park Alliance Art Committee.    
Avye was born in Athens, Greece, and technically her name might be spelled Avgi, from the Greek Αυγή. To hear it pronounced naturally ( ahv-YI ) click here.
She has lived in the south, midwest, and northeast  USA and loves to travel.  She now resides in Buffalo, NY amidst 47+ houseplants.
